Hey ya'll
So, I'm sitting here, 2.5 drinks in and feeling it, thanks to Chris lol. He's been making them, so they are a tad stronger than I would make! I don't drink much anymore, not really, so this is interesting. I'm off tomorrow thankfully, I took the day off, and Chris gets it off anyway. Woot for Family Day. This may or may not be a little all over the place, due to the rye, so I apologize now. haha! But, I feel like writing so here I am.
I think tomorrow we may go to Gamiing nature trails, which are just down the road from us. They are having a "Winterlude" event, and that could be fun for an hour or two. Can't stay out too long with Em bc she gets cold faster than we do.
I've been having a great time looking for and buying gifts for Chris' cousin Aimee who had a baby girl last week, her shower is early March. I'm getting her a bunch of eco friendly/cloth diaper things so hopefully she appreciates it. I can't wait for some of our friends to get pregnant again so I can buy them fun things too. :) I have a few WAHM friends now that make or sell eco friendly things and I love supporting them and helping out people as well. I hope I can convert some people :). (Alva Diapers, Take A Walk On The Green Side)
I'm having a weird time with my cycle (TMI, sorry) so I've been a bit off for the last few weeks. Not sure what's going on but I'm sure it will right itself. I'm going to call the doc on Tues I think just in case! Feelin' a bit off so I want to find out what's going on. My doc is pretty good so hopefully he will take me seriously!
By the way, if Corey or Sheri reads this, I'm drinking my rye & coke zero in one of your Hooters glasses from Las Vegas. You can have it back next time you come here. Not before. So there. Get here. Party. ASAP.
Anyway. I do hope everyone is doing well. February seems to be a hard month for us historically and currently. Money wise and nerve wise, etc. Just seems like a blah month I guess. Luckily it's short :).
This weekend was the first weekend for Em completely and totally without her soother. We did it cold turkey Friday afternoon, and it's been great! Some people do it before now and some way after now, so we figured while we had a long weekend where we weren't really doing anything we would try it. And man, it's been amazing! She's asked for it here and there, but we just either ignore the question and redirect her interests or just gently tell her there's no more suss. She is sleeping perfect without it. 3 nights now without a problem, and 2 naps so far. No issues. I'm amazed! She was 2 in January. She's also been a bit sick, so this is astonishing. I tried babywearing yesterday too with a ruck carry on my back and she did great, she loved it. Being sick, tired and without her soother made her a bit grumpy, and I really needed to do dishes. I tied her on my back watching a tutorial vid on youtube (first attempt ever!) and it was perfect and I wore her for about an hour. She had a great time and was even getting sleepy - it doesn't just work on newborns! Woot for babywearing sleepy dust lol.
Well I hope everyone is doing well. Leave me a comment if you want. I love reading them. :)
